The water absorbing properties of the floor mats are deliberate. If you spill something while driving, its gonna swap somewhere into the electronics or on your vehicle carpet. So i guess just coating the underside of the floor mats would be the best option

Hmmm... Yeah! Last I checked, removal of seats requires special tool (by the way, an expensive one depending on the car and model) and... never mind the connections of electronics under the seats. I'm not saying this video is bad. It has some good points but... not in my climate's "dirt" nor the car :-) DIY cleaning this way it's out of the question (and no! I don't own a spectacularly expensive car!) . Just saying :-) Thanks for the cleaning products and somewhat useful video. Peace people!

For the carpet protection, isn’t the point of floor mats to absorb dirt and water so that it doesn’t roll off to the actual carpet? Also why they made all weather mats so they’re easier to clean
